My name is Richard Anson. I advise new ventures, whether as a standalone start-up or as part of an existing large corporation, and teach entrepreneurship at business school.
My advisory work focusses on new venture creation and growth covering business models, value proposition development, commercial strategy (pricing and go to market), new product development, strategic partnerships, team shape and fund raising. I have worked with public companies, accelerators and start-ups.
My teaching is centred around customer development and the lean start-up philosophy, together with retail and consumer entrepreneurship.
Having founded a leading global user generated content platfrom, I believe that businesses of any size, including corporates, can benefit from understanding how disruptive enterprises operate.
My experience working with brands and retailers, many of whom are household names, has given me a deep understanding about how consumer behaviour and technology are driving changes in the way we purchase, think and interact. Within the industry this goes by a number of names including “customer advocacy”, “customer centricity” and “voice of the customer”.
I write regularly on websites such as LinkedIn and the Minute Hack and have a podcast “People Tell Richard Stuff”, where I interview interesting individuals in the innovation space.
A long time windsurfer with a longing for the ocean, I now find my centre of gravity is being increasingly pulled towards the mountains……
